“I was at Jefferson School, it was picture day. Many of the children had on their best clothes. The girls were wearing pretty dresses and boys were in dress pants and shirts. I couldn’t help but notice one little girl. She was wearing blue jeans and a wrinkled, red Kids Hope t-shirt. Her hair was pulled up in a messy ponytail. What stood out to me most was the lovely smile she had on her face. It was the day her Kids Hope Mentor was coming, and that was really all that mattered to her. The joy that the mentors bring into the children’s lives is such a beautiful thing.”
