Even so, children tend to communicate volumes about their own life experience through their behaviors. It is likely that children who are demonstrating these feelings and behaviors have experienced a great deal of hurt. It is important to recognize and acknowledge the feelings while consistently setting boundaries around the behavior (i.e. “I can see that you feel angry right now, but it is not okay to use those words. Let’s think of a better way for you to take care of your anger.”)
